Expert care for chronic, hard-to-heal, or post-surgical wounds
At Restore, we understand how frustrating and complex wound healing can be—especially when wounds linger, reoccur, or arise as a result of cancer treatment, lymphoedema, surgery, or chronic illness. Our dedicated wound therapist offers specialised, evidence-based care to support your body’s healing process and help you get back to living.
What is Wound Management?
Wound management is more than just dressing a wound. It’s a holistic, clinical approach that supports tissue repair, prevents complications, and promotes optimal healing—particularly in wounds that are:
- Chronic or non-healing
- Related to surgery, trauma or radiation
- Caused or worsened by lymphoedema or cancer treatment
- At risk of infection or poor healing due to circulation, diabetes or immune issues
Our wound therapist combines advanced assessment, treatment planning, and appropriate dressing selection with therapies designed to stimulate healing and reduce complications.
When Should You See a Wound Therapist?
You don’t need to wait for a wound to get worse before seeking help. Wound therapy is particularly beneficial if you have:
- A wound that hasn’t healed within 4 weeks
- A surgical wound that is slow to close
- A history of wounds reopening or recurring
- Signs of poor circulation or lymphatic involvement
- Wounds complicated by swelling, infection, or skin fragility
We work closely with your GP, oncologist or surgeon to ensure continuity of care and a comprehensive healing plan.
Wounds We Treat
Our therapist specialises in managing a range of wounds, including:
- Surgical wounds (post-mastectomy, joint replacements, etc.)
- Radiation-related skin damage

Treatment may include:
- Wound cleansing and debridement
- Advanced dressing techniques
- Compression therapy (if lymphatic involvement is present)
- MLS laser therapy to stimulate tissue regeneration
- Education on wound care, hygiene and skin protection
- Support with nutrition and related referrals to aid healing
Our Approach
We take a comprehensive, compassionate approach—looking beyond the surface to identify what’s slowing healing and how to best support recovery. Our goal is not only to heal the wound, but to prevent future complications, protect surrounding skin, and preserve mobility and quality of life.
You don’t have to manage your wound alone.
Whether you’re recovering from surgery, managing a chronic condition, or concerned about slow healing, our wound therapist is here to help.
