Sharyn Wappett graduated from the University of Sydney in 1992 with a Bachelor of Applied Science(Physiotherapy). For over 25 years she has worked in private practice in the city and then Annandale, where for 13 years, she owned and ran a successful practice. Having moved on from Annandale, Sharyn started Restore Oncology Care and Lymphoedema Clinic, to bring her expertise to the St George and Sutherland Shire.
Sharyn’s expertise is in the management of the side effects of treatment for cancer, in particular, lymphoedema, cancer related fatigue, physical decline, post op scar tissue and cording. Sharyn combines this with her treatment of pelvic floor issues in both women and men. Sharyn is passionate about providing an holistic approach to patient care.
Sharyn is a certified lymphoedema therapist, with training also is women’s, men’s health and clinical Pilates. Sharyn is a certified oncology rehab physiotherapist through the PINC and STEEL Foundation and a specialist Scar Therapist in oncology related surgery.
Sharyn is on the board of the Pinc and Steel Foundation, in an effort to raise the awareness of the importance of exercise prescription during treatment for cancer and to help raise funds to provide oncology rehabilitation to as many people affected by cancer as possible.
When Sharyn is not at work she enjoys keeping fit, reading and spending time with her family and friends.
